Tisren® PS

Tisren® PS is the registered trade mark for all Polystyrene Compounds manufactured by Tisan.
Polystyrene materials are available with a wide range of properties. They have low specific density, good dimensional stability and outstanding electrical applications. Addition of glass fiber increases polystyrene’s strength, rigidity, dimensional stability and impact resistance.
The range also includes also flame-retarded materials and impact modified derivatives.
HIPS (high impact polystyrene), which has been widely used for TV housings for last decades is one of the major commonly used plastic materials in modern industry.

 

Tisren® PS compounds are a comprehensive range of general-purpose and high-impact polystyrene products. Tisren® PS compounds have broad technological competencies and product reach.

Tisren® PS, formulations can also be developed to meet specific market needs.
Tisren® PS, is a fully recyclable material and it can be reused after regrinding.
The user shall always verify that the compound obtained by mixing virgin and reground material is suitable for the specific application and that its properties meet the requirements.
Tisren® PS, grades can be provided fully colored in customized colors with narrow color specifications colorability even in light colors.

Main specifications
Modification of Polystyrene by compounding with glass fiber, mineral fillers and other additives produces a substantial change in the properties of the polymer resin and gives to compositions based on Tisren® PS the following properties:

Excellent dimensional stability, good impact resistance, easy processing, excellent aesthetical properties. Flame retardant compound with halogen and halogen free, UL94 V-2 or V-0 classifications, glow wire flammability index, glow wire ignition behavior (no flame), low smoke density.

Fillers / reinforcements / modifiers
Glass fibers-mineral fillers are available with varying contents in different combinations. Heat stabilizers-hydrolysis stabilizers-lubricants-UV stabilizers, electrical conductive etc. are being used in non-reinforced and reinforced grades to increase specific material properties.

Packing & Storage

Tisren® PS are supplied in pellet form in 25 kg multi-layer kraft bags. Other forms of packing like octabins and big-bags with PE or aluminum in-liners are also available. Storage conditions must kept away from moisture and heat.
