Tisoplen® PPC

Tisoplen® PPC is the registered trade mark for Polypropylene-based compounds produced by Tisan.
Polypropylene is a semi-crystalline thermoplastics and best known members of the polyolefines family. Polypropylene is an economical material that offers a combination of outstanding physical, mechanical, thermal and electrical properties not found in any other thermoplastic. Tg value of the copolymer is lower than the cold / winter conditions copolymer derivatives should be preferred in applications exposed.
Polypropylene provides excellent resistance to organic solvents, degreasing agents and electrolytic attack in corrosive environments. PP varieties are preferred in applications in cold / winter conditions. The easiness in processing and the diversity of its physical properties depending on its low density make PP a charming and talended material compared to more expensive materials.
Tisoplen® PPC is a bit softer but has better impact strength, is tougher and more durable than Tisoplen® PPH. Tisoplen® PPC compounds tends to have better stress crack resistance and low temperature toughness than Tisoplen® PPH compounds at the expense of quite small reductions in other properties.
Tisoplen® PPC compounds variously modified, as glass fiber reinforced, UV / light stabilized, impact modified, heat-stabilised, mineral filled and flame-retarded. Coloured ones for the automotive, house ware appliances, interior design, illumination design and building and leisure industries. Tisoplen® PPC compounds are the ideal solution for a wide number of applications requiring a good cost / performance ratio.
Tisoplen® PPC formulations can also be developed to meet specific market needs.
Tisoplen® PPC is a fully recyclable material and it can be reused after regrinding.
The user shall always verify that the compound obtained by mixing virgin and reground material is suitable for the specific application and that its properties meet the requirements.
Tisoplen® PPC grades can be provided fully colored in customized colors with narrow color specifications colorability even in light colors.

 

Main specifications
Modification of PP by compounding with chemically bonded glass fiber, mineral fillers and other additives produces a substantial change in the properties of the base material and gives to compositions based on Tisoplen® PPC the following properties;
Attractive economics, good balance of properties among stiffness, durability and impact resistance, UV stability, low specific gravity, good chemical resistance, high stiffness and abrasion resistance, excellent resistance to chemical agents, low hygroscopic specialty, easy process ability. Flame retardant compound with halogen and halogen free, UL94 V-2 or V-0 classifications glow wire flammability index, glow wire ignition behavior (no flame), low smoke density.


Fillers / reinforcements / modifiers

Glass fibers-glass beads-mineral fillers are available with varying contents in different combinations. Heat stabilizers-hydrolysis stabilizers-lubricants-UV stabilizers, anti static etc. are being used in non-reinforced and reinforced grades to increase specific material properties.

Tisoplen® PPC are supplied in pellet form in 25 kg multi-layer kraft bags. Other forms of packing like octabins and big-bags with PE or aluminum in-liners are also available. Storage conditions must kept away from moisture and heat.
