Tisetilen® PE

Tisetilen® PE is the registered trade mark Polyethylene compounds manufactured by Tisan.

Polyethylenes are thermoplastic resins obtained by polymerizing the gas ethylene [C2H4]. Low molecular weight polymers of ethylene are fluids used as lubricants; medium weight polymers are waxes miscible with paraffin; and the high molecular weight polymers (i.e., over 6000) are the materials used in the plastics industry. Polymers with densities ranging from about .910 to .925 are called low density; those of densities from .926 to .940 are called medium density; and those from .941 to .965 and over are called high density.

 

Tisetilen® PE offers a balance of engineering properties combined with high-temperature performance, chemical resistance, good electrical properties and ease of processing.

Tisetilen® PE Flame Retardant masterbatches are highly loaded FR pellets designed for high performance results and are made to easily disperse and incorporate directly into compounding and injection molding processes.

Tisetilen® PE, has been used as medical and industrial neutron shielding and chemical blowing agent and contains the required levels.
Tisetilen® PE compounds with extreme resistance against crack initiation and slow crack growth.
Tisetilen® PE formulations can also be developed to meet specific market needs.


Main specifications

Modification of PE by compounding with glass fiber, mineral fillers and other modifying additives produces a substantial change in the properties of the base material and gives to compositions based on Tisetilen® PE the following properties;
Low density, flexibility, easy processability and coloring, high performance, good chemical resistance hardness-rigidity, easy processability and coloring, high optical properties, better slow crack growth resistance, better resistance against rapid crack propagation, superior melt strength.

Fillers / reinforcements / modifiers
Glass fibers-mineral fillers are available with varying contents in different combinations. Lubricants-UV stabilizers, electrical conductive etc. are being used in non-reinforced and reinforced grades to increase specific material properties.
Flame retardant compound with halogen and halogen free, UL94 V-2 or V-0 classifications, glow wire flammability index, glow wire ignition behavior (no flame), low smoke density.

Packing & Storage

Tisetilen® PE are supplied in pellet form in 25 kg multi-layer kraft bags. Other forms of packing like octabins and big-bags with PE or aluminum in-liners are also available. Storage conditions must kept away from moisture and heat.
